Street art fans and aficionados should not miss this two day exhibit from graffiti crew T̶̶O̶̶Y̶, their first in Berlin. Hosted at Zwei Drei Raum in Kreuzberg, it will include a selection of large format canvasses (former advertising billboards collected from U-Bahn stations), video screenings, and the opening will include live music performances – acts TBA.
The concept of the exhibition is the artists’ stance against the destruction of the heritage of street culture, and the decrease in the number of public spaces in Berlin. Through the work on show, audiences will experience the crew’s aesthetic – adapted for the gallery setting – the freshness and flow of their style, and the illegality that fosters the strong sense of community fuelling their artistic expression.
Artists showing work in the exhibition include crews like TLS, CTM, CMD, TBR and IMK, and writers ROZER, IGIT, SPIRIT, LOFK, Viktor Treshkow and Max Grambow.
The exhibition is open on 11th September from 11:00 – 21:00 for those that miss the opening party.
