LOLA is Berlin’s culture magazine with an insatiable appetite for music, art, film, sex life, human interest and more.

We love to document and promote the culture of Berlin. This city is fertile ground for amazing stories centred around music, art, film, sex life and the breadth of human interest.

We also love print. There is something truly special about committing work to the page. The stakes are higher when space is finite, only one cover photo selected, and when you have one chance to fix a headline.

We combine both of these loves to produce and publish LOLA Magazine, our English-language cultural magazine focused on the people and stories that make Berlin unique.

We believe that media should be as accessible as possible. For this reason, we make LOLA available for free throughout the city. Outside of pandemic times, we print and distribute 5,000 copies to venues, cafes, galleries, and cinemas across Berlin.

Right now, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign to finance the next issue and to ensure LOLA Magazine remains free and accessible for as many people as possible. Explore our StartNext campaign for more information on how you can contribute.

Below you can enjoy digital versions of the issues we have published to date.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the magazine is indeed named after a dog.

You can order any back issue by sending €5 along with your name and address via paypal to [email protected]
