Cameryn Moore knows a thing or two about sex. After working for years as a phone sex operator and writing solo shows like Phone Whore, she has since created a series of performances called Smut Slam. Fed up with the stigma surrounding sex at spoken word events, Cameryn started Smut Slam in Boston and it is now in cities all over the world. Smut Slam creates a space for audience members to tell real stories from their sex lives. With a strict set of rules, there is no space for homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, or any other form of discrimination in the competition. They only get five minutes to tell their dirtiest tale. Then a panel of judges determines who told the best story and they win a prize. Not a fan of onstage performance? Feel free to sit back and observe, but there are no interruptions allowed – including making-out in the dark. Since these are real stories, there may be drama, awkwardness, or silliness.

In a sentence: Let’s talk about sex, baby
