This summer was damn hot. Now it’s not. But don’t fret, you can turn the heat right back up to 11 at the Chili Fest Harvest Event this weekend. Taking place at the Berliner Berg Brewery, the city’s finest flavours will take centre stage for two days in a celebration of hot hot hot peppers. There will be market stalls offering fresh chili and hot sauce from Berlin’s most exciting artisans, food trucks, craft beer and cocktails, live music and comedy.
Get inspired to put a fiery kick into your cooking while supporting local makers and getting your hands on the highest quality ingredients in Berlin. It’s not all about food though – on Saturday evening you can witness a Fire Freak Show (you read that right), and on Sunday night you can enjoy some live comedy and music from The Dave Adams Threesome.
Apparently, when you eat hot chili peppers it releases endorphins that give you a type of high. We can neither confirm or deny this information, but we’re definitely inspired to do some more research. Oh and fyi, if (when) you buy a margarita, you’ll be leaving with some free chili seeds to take home and grow yourself! Seems like a no-brainer.
