We love it when great event concepts meet cool venues, and THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID is definitely a great concept, and Kohlenquelle Kopenhagener is definitely a cool venue.
THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID is a monthly stand-up comedy event produced by and featuring nothing but damn funny womxn. The lineups are carefully curated and handpicked, so you know you’re going to be treated to some of the finest comedy that Berlin has to offer. This is a nice contrast to the usual comedy open mic nights, which can be more unpredictable and a bit of a gamble.
The event is produced by the powerhouse comedy promotion trio, Queen Bees Comedy (Anja Woot, Carmen Chraim and Katnip Presents), so you just know the comedians they pick will be top drawer. We don’t normally quote what promoters have said about their own events, but in this case, we really couldn’t say it any better: In reference to THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID, Queen Bees said “Well, she didn’t just SAY it. She WROTE it. She PERFORMED it. She PUT A LOT OF THOUGHTS AND EFFORT in it. She PRODUCED it. So come, support her and listen to what she has to say!” We’re sold.
The venue is a former coal cellar in Prenzlauerberg, which just adds to the atmosphere in our opinion. Thankfully it has long since been cleaned out so you don’t need to worry about getting your clothes dirty.
The show starts at 20:30, but there is an Aperol Spritz happy hour from 18:30 to 19:30 where you can enjoy the drink of the summer for a marvelous €5.
