You know what is better than straight up partying? Partying with a purpose. For our next LOLA Club event, we’ll be donating all of the proceeds to Voices of Children, a charity dedicated to helping children who are impacted by the war in Ukraine.
We’ve put together a straight up stellar lineup for the occasion, and as a special double whammy we celebrate the launch of Lemon Test records latest release One Hour One Minute EP (LT008) from label founder Guy Nicki.
Eira Haul will be playing back to back with Chris Breuer, and as vintage chewing gum commercials have taught us – double the pleasure, double the fun. Eira Haul had a bit of a breakthrough year in 2022, topping it off by releasing the first two EPs on Edition Akasha, the new imprint of Berlin’s Akasha Festival. Teaming up with label head and festival programmer Chris Breuer means the dancefloor will be in two very safe pairs of hands.
As a duo, Hellandahalf are the relative newcomers on this lineup, but on an individual basis this pair has been tearing things up for a long time. JennaJ and Yvois are both excellent DJs in their own right, and when they join forces as Hellandahalf things take a turn for the best. Expect a slew of bass-heavy bangers, right in your face.
Guy Nicki is one of the three founders of Lemon Test records. The label made its name with the excellent Slices guest mix series, before stepping up its game with a series of EPs, including Eira Haul’s debut. After a period of pandemic-induced hibernation, Lemon Test is back in action to drop Guy Nicki’s sophomore release. This uptempo and club leaning EP follows on from his 2018 debut and is available on Feb 10th.
Rounding off the lineup is LOLA’s very own Jonny Tiernan. Jonny secured his first club residency at the tender age of 18 and he has been playing clubs constantly ever since. He cut his teeth playing techno but now has a style that encompasses dance-punk, disco, house and whatever else tickles his fancy.
Come, dance and donate.
