Queens Against Borders hosts an amazing group of performance artists inside SO36. With help from hosts Olympia Bukkakis, co-host of Apocalypse Tonight!, and The Darvish, the evening will start off with a political pre-show panel about healthcare for queers, trans people, and refugees. The panel includes Ahmed Awadella, a sex-educator and activist on topics such as health, sexuality, and migration in Egypt, Alex Alvina Chamberland, a writer and performance artist, and Tanya Doli, a psychotherapist who focuses on gender and sexuality.
After the panel, performances from artists such as Cupcake, trio group Ta Troktika, Nicky, Wizzy, and more. Queens Against Borders aims to make connections between already established Berlin performers and refugee artists and gives them a place to exhibit their talents. Any additional funding raised in the evening goes to help with surgery costs and other support for trans refugees.
