We think there should be more all female lineups in the world, and we’re not just talking music. Imagine if there were more women in positions of political office instead of crazy men dripping with issues. Ah, utopian dreams…
Well, until the revolution comes the best we can do is to enjoy shows like this one. The always vibrant and ever-colourful Gaff-E has curated a special selection of mighty female artists from across the globe. On show will be everything from live intergalactic space hip-hop to comedy burlesque and punk new wave. There will also be DJ sets until late so you can celebrate the power of the pussy until the small hours.
We spoke with Gaff-E to find out more about the inspiration behind the show:
LOLA: Why did you decide to do an all-female lineup?
Gaff-E: Due to the lack of female presence within Berlin nightlife I thought it was necessary to curate this party FULL of strong artists I find super inspiring.
L: How did you choose the artists for the event?
G: I am always on the hunt for luscious women doing their own thing and I like to support and join forces with as many sistas as possible along the way. Everyone on the lineup are friends I respect and deeply admire.
L: Do you have any style advice for what people should wear?
E: Do as you feel! MORE IS MORE!!!
L: Are there any surprises in store?
E: The whole night will be chockablock full of surprises! I love the range of wildness that will occur performance wise plus we have all night projections from surprise visuals artists.
