Pttrns + Helen Fry

Analogue rock at Urban Spree

Juicy synths, syncopated beats and a magician’s hat full of gorgeously tinkling noises, Pttrns delivers all the convulsive indietronica you could possibly want. Fans of Foster the People could easily convince themselves they’ve timewarped to a pre-breakthrough version of the Californian band, while indie purists will appreciate Pttrn’s independence from pre-recorded loops. This is tight, fun, celebrant music with vocal arrangements that will make you wish you’d learnt all the songs beforehand so you could shout along like a drunk England football fan.

Support comes from Helen Fry who owns one of the bravest and most unique voices on the Berlin indie scene; the kind you only hear once in a lifetime, imitating no one. Fry’s lo-fi pop tunes are dark, soulful explorations that herald an unambiguous departure from her Slow Steve stylings. We’re very much looking forward to seeing this Berlin indie royalty take the stage with her own material.
