Seize the chance to buy some unpublished photographs by Joseph Wolfgang Ohlert, a young queer photographer making waves in the Berlin art scene. We interviewed Joseph earlier this year shortly after his first book Gender as a Spectrum was published, and we’re thrilled to see some new work from him.
This exhibition, organised in cooperation with Curated by GIRLS, will include ten limited edition posters of previously unseen photos by Joseph. Each poster has been reproduced 50 times and will be available to buy at the exhibit. Joseph introduces the new portraits:
“These are portraits of young men who I think are beautiful, some I met through Facebook, Instagram, some are good friends. Through photography, I get to know so many interesting personalities and also hot guys. I love it. There are so many people out there I would love to have in my life, but I can’t, so with the photos I’m taking of them I’m creating a connection we will have forever. I sometimes feel like if I don’t take a picture of whoever I’m meeting, it doesn’t actually feel like we have met.”
