We’re a bit biased, but for us the highlight of this three-roomed, multi-tentacled lineup is definitely Locked Groove. The Belgian-born, Berlin-based artist was picked up by Scuba back in 2012, subsequently releasing on his renowned powerhouse label, Hotflush. Since then he’s put out records on Permanent Vacation, Life and Death, Afterlife, and his own Locked Groove label. His style is an idiosyncratic mix of classic Chicago vibes and stripped-back, industrial rawness.
This night will be the EP release party for ‘Untitled Reworks’ by Sebastian Voigt, which features remixes by Locked Groove and Simon Haydo, who are also on the bill. Here’s a sneak preview of the Locked Groove remix to whet your appetite.
