While the lineup for this LittleBig summer party is strong all round, we’re most excited about seeing Jimmy Edgar (pictured). The Berlin-based Detroit native produces wickedly original and off-kilter dance music, swinging between subgenres and styles with ease. On his latest EP Dreams Come True he effortlessly flits from lush staccato house into jacking contorted techno, before finishing with nice syncopated electronica. We recommend spending some quality time with his back catalogue, it’s well worth it.
It’s going to be a ‘start early, finish late’ kind of affair, with a BBQ and drinks in the Chalet garden at 6pm and The Bug playing a special Black Wax Attack 7″ DJ set at 8pm. The full lineup is below, and there is plenty of good stuff on it, but did we mention how much we like Jimmy Edgar yet?
