GRRL HAUS CINEMA is an ongoing program of screenings of short films and/or video art made by women. For this event, they are continuing the theme they had in November, discussing family and relationships. With films such as Ladies’ Lounge, Faryad, and Rosario, the program will examine the concept of being a traditional wife and/or mother. Life places these women in situations they never would have thought they’d be in. Loneliness, isolation, and the mundane are all overlying themes in the films Restock and Glance. With plenty of other shorts included, the evening is sure to illuminate the struggles women endure in their relationships or lack thereof.
In a sentence: A cinematic exploration of the complexities of human relationships.
