Electropop bursting with personality

Baltimore-based Future Islands have been around for a little while, touring and building a steady fanbase before grabbing international attention with a wonderful performance on Letterman two years ago. Frontman Samuel Herring – beating his chest, growling, and dad-dancing – is. fantastic. in. this. video. According to an NME interview given after this show, Herring was “stung” by reactions to the performance, though we can’t understand why anyone would think this is anything but awesome

Future Islands are famed for their relentless attitude to touring – Herring once collapsing from exhaustion on the way to Primavera, where they still took the stage (and completely killed it, by the way). We’re thrilled to hear that Future Islands are bringing their 80’s-infused electropop to Berlin, and if you’re as into a good dance party as we are – you’re gonna love their show.
