Who doesn’t love a film marathon?! If you have a hankering to binge on some cinematic drama, check out the special marathon screening of Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s 5 part mini-series EIGHT HOURS DON’T MAKE A DAY (ACHT STUNDEN SIND KEIN TAG) (1972/73).
The recently restored masterpiece premiered this year at the Berlinale and is presented by the Berlin Film Society in partnership with the Fassbinder Foundation and KulturRaum Zwinglikirche. The melodramatic mini series follows a family and their daily disputes and working lives. Fassbinder’s mini-series is exemplary of the classic ‘worker film’ and addresses issues in West Germany’s post-war era.
The series will be screened in the original German version with English subtitles. Get your tickets now to see the series on the big screen in the stunning Friedrichshain church.
