Date: 16th August – 18th August
Location: Alte Wassermühle, Vorwerk 2, 03099 Kolkwitz
We might be approaching the end of outdoor festival season, but there is still time to sneak in a little more alfresco dancing action before the weather changes. Akasha Festival combines a well-curated line-up of electronic music with a never-used-before location to make itself a strong addition to your calendar. The capacity of 1,000 puts it at the boutique end of the spectrum, so it’s perfect if you like an intimate vibe and the chance to fully enjoy everything that is on offer.
The festival takes place in the middle of Brandenberg’s glorious countryside, near Cottbus. It might only be an hour outside of Berlin, but it may as well be another world. You’ll be surrounded by nothing but meadows and woodlands (and hundreds of dancing friends). As the site has never been used before, if you go this year then you will be assured ‘I was there first’ bragging rights for all future editions.
There will be two stages to choose from – the Mill and the Forest – and if we had to pick three artists from the lineup we’d say Tornado Wallace (back-to-back with Jamie Tiller, no less), Mira and Fort Romeau are solid choices.
Tickets are €79 and are available now from the Akasha site.
In a sentence: Take your last chance to alfresco dance
