We’ve been big fans of Polish Thursday Dinners for quite some time. The brainchild of jazz musician and all round dynamo Julia Bosski, they are continuing to go from strength to strength, increasing from monthly soirees to non-stop delivery of quality events. For this special edition, Julia is teaming up with chef Esbven Grundtvig, one half of the Danish pop-up duo Rødder, for a dinner that is Polish and Nordic in equal measure.
Rødder have been delivering excellent their pop-up dinners in cool locations in Copenhagen for the past six years, and have recently brought their concept and flair to Berlin with great effect.
Taking place in Markthalle Moabit, the menu for the evening is a five-course affair that features a fine range of seasonal, locally sourced and organic ingredients, along with wines and beers from the Markthalle’s own suppliers. We’re mainly excited about the dessert, which consists of natural buckwheat ice cream and VODKA FERMENTED PLUMS. Yes, we did just shout ‘vodka fermented plums’, it’s just how into them we are.
The price for the five course meal is €35, and you can book by private messaging this page.
