Get a taste of the world-famous Sundance Film Festival from the comfort and charm of Prenzlauer Berg’s Lichtblick Kino as the short films from this year’s festival get five evening screenings. Typical of Sundance, these films explore very different ways to take the film-going experience to its tingling limits, straddling the genres of documentary, drama, animation, eroticism and fantasy.
Among the films are the 2016 Short Film Grand Jury Prize winner Thunder Road written and directed by Jim Cummings, and Her Friend Adam – the tale of a runaway finding romantic peril that received the Short Film Special Jury Award for Outstanding Performance by Grace Glowicki.
If you haven’t visited the 32-seat Lichtblick before then shame on you, but now is the perfect time. These eight films are screened in 95 minutes, all in original language with German subtitles. Get all the details of times and tickets on the Lichtblick Kino website.
