Canada’s finest musical export tours in support of their latest album
This Halloween, indie rock royalty graces the stage at Kesselhaus. Anchored by Emily Haines’ breathy, ethereal voice and razor-sharp songwriting chops, Metric have spent the past fifteen years exploring the spectrum between synth pop and rock ‘n’ roll, but the results are always perfectly danceable. The band’s latest release, The Art of Doubt, tilts closer to rock, with an emphasis on big guitar chords and grand choruses. Haines flexes her strongest weapon – her brutally honest lyrics – to address political instability and uncertain times, wrapping sobering messages within deceptively sweet melodies.
